DRAMA QUEENS CAN BOOST YOUR LEAGUE TABLE RATING!
Drama Queens has been up and running now for five years and through a lot of hard work, have built up a small but very successful business. Part of our strategy has been to offer very high quality and we've been striving to give the best quality and value to children and their parents. To that end we now offer the L.A.M.D.A syllabus (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) to all children in our after school clubs.
We currently run our drama clubs in 3 schools, and both parents and teachers in those schools are very supportive and enthusiastic about the benefits of our work. If you would like a drama club in your school, we have references and testimonials galore and I am sure the respective head teachers would be happy to talk to you about us. We would like 2 more schools in order to run five days a week.
L.A.M.D.A is a valuable part of our teaching because it helps the children with their English, listening skills, memory and clear speech. With primary and junior pupils, the syllabus exactly mirrors the National Curriculum requirements for English, although we do it all through drama fun rather than sitting down in a class room.
For secondary school children, their L.A.M.D.A exams can earn them very valuable UCAS points. Many private schools offer L.A.M.D.A or send their children to private tutors, at the cost of 30 pounds per hour. It has been our crusade to try and offer this to a broader range of children and all within an affordable after school club rate. We work this out with you, the school, we aim to be inclusive, not only financially, children with special needs do very well with us.
In the classes we work with poems and acting pieces. All children do the L.A.M.D.A syllabus within the class, the exams at the end of term are optional, but highly recommended. We ask nothing from you other than after hours access to your hall and your support. We supply the advertising, curriculum, staff and insurance. And results. We understand that each school has its own individual circumstances and Drama Queens, as a small concern, can respond to those needs as and when required.
